National Weather Service gives Winter Weather Advisory for Alcorn County

The National Weaher Service in Memphis issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Alcorn County on Sunday as well as a large segment of North MS.

Quitman-Panola-Lafayette-Union-Pontotoc-Lee MS-Itawamba-
Tallahatchie-Yalobusha-Calhoun-Chickasaw-Monroe-Decatur-McNairy-
Hardin-
Including the cities of Holly Springs, Ashland, Ripley MS,
Corinth, Iuka, Senatobia, Booneville, Clarksdale, Marks,
Batesville, Oxford, New Albany, Pontotoc, Tupelo, Fulton,
Charleston, Water Valley, Coffeeville, Bruce, Calhoun City,
Houston, Okolona, Amory, Aberdeen, Parsons, Decaturville, Selmer,
and Savannah
* WHAT...Snow expected. Plan on difficult travel conditions,
  including during the morning commute on Tuesday. Total snow
  accumulations of one inch, with local amounts up to two inches,
  are expected.

* WHERE...Portions of North Mississippi and West Tennessee.

* WHEN...From midnight to 9 AM CST Tuesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for reduced visibilities at
  times. Additionally, flash freezing of rain from Monday night
  may occur due to the rapidly falling temperatures.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
