A couple from Brandon has been found dead in what was an apparent murder-suicide.
According to Darkhorse Press, around 7:19 a.m. on Saturday, December 28th, officers with Brandon Police Department received a phone call from a residence at 308 Toulon Street. According to the phone call, family members were at the home to conduct a welfare check on their daughter, where they had found signs of foul play.
When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered the bodies of Brandon Sheffield and his wife Jennifer Sheffield. The couple had died from an apparent murder-suicide.
According to Chief Joseph French, it appeared that Brandon Sheffield, 40, shot Jennifer, 30, before shooting himself.
The investigation into the matter is ongoing, with Mississippi Bureau of Investigation aiding the Crime Scene Unit with processing the evidence at the scene. More information will be released as it becomes available.
