Convict Receives Additional 30-Year Sentence from Sexual Battery
On Monday, Lonnie Lee, a convict serving a current life sentence, has been given an additional 30-year sentence from a sexual battery charge.
District Attorney John Weddle issued the following statement on the matter.
Lonnie Lavis Lee, 40, has been sentenced to 30 years for Sexual Battery. Lee is currently serving a life sentence from a 2019 conviction.
Lonnie Lavis Lee, 40, entered a plea of guilty today to Sexual Battery. Circuit Judge Kelly Mims Sentenced Lee to 30 years in prison. Lee is not entitled to parole or early release under current Mississippi law.
Alcorn Police Department Detective Heather Russell investigated the case. Assistant District Attorneys Kyle Robbins and Megan French prosecuted the case for the State of Mississippi.
Lee was previously convicted on May 1, 2019 by a Tishomingo County Jury for Felony Child Abuse Resulting in serious bodily harm. Circuit Court Judge Kelly Mims sentenced Lee to serve a term of Life in prison.
