Corinth Man Sentenced to Life in Prison for Murder
A man from Corinth was sentenced on Thursday for his guilty verdict in a murder trial.
According to WCBI, a jury in Alcorn County found Robert Demos Walker, age thirty nine, guilty of first degree murder in the fatal shooting of Demetrius Atkins.
The shooting took place on August 14th, 2022.
The trial began on Monday, December 2nd, 2024 with the selection of a jury. The trial lasted three days, concluding with a declaration of the verdict and Walker’s sentencing on Thursday, December 5th.
Walker received a sentence of life in prison, and will be in the custody of Mississippi Department of Corrections.
