Hattiesburg Christmas Day Dispute Leaves Two Seeking Medical Treatment

A Christmas Day altercation in Hattiesburg has left both victims seeking medical treatment.

According to a press release from Hattiesburg Police Department, officers responded to the 5000 block of Hardy Street at approximately 7:10 p.m. on Christmas Day. They were called to respond to a report of an aggravated assault.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that the assault had taken place at around 6:50 p.m. at Park Place. A dispute had unfolded among the three individuals involved, leaving two injured. The injured were able to drive themselves to a hospital to seek medical treatment, and are both currently in stable condition.

A suspect, identified as twenty four year old Robert Calvin Wilson, has been apprehended by Hattiesburg Police Department and Forrest County Sheriff’s Office.

As the victims and suspect knew each other, there does not appear to be a threat to the public due to the incident.
