Booneville, Miss. – August 2025 – Northeast Mississippi Community College (NEMCC) is now accepting applications for its MIBEST Program, offering single parents a pathway to both a high school diploma equivalency (GED) and a career in healthcare.

The program is open to individuals 18 and older who have not yet earned a high school diploma and are interested in entering the healthcare field. Current enrollment options include certification tracks for:

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
  • Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA)

Through MIBEST, students can work toward their GED while receiving hands-on training for high-demand healthcare careers. The program also provides tuition scholarships, making this opportunity accessible to those seeking a fresh start or new direction in life.

“This is more than just a career program — it’s a second chance and a support system,” said Amanda Janes, program coordinator.

Interested applicants are encouraged to apply now and take the first step toward a brighter future. For more information, contact Amanda Janes at adjanes@nemcc.edu.
