Two Men Arrested in Connection with Union Drive-by Shooting

Two men from Philadelphia have been arrested in connection with a drive by shooting that occurred in Union.

The shooting took place on the evening of December 30th, 2024, when gunfire was exchanged between two vehicles driving along Martin Luther King Drive.

Andrew Devlin Sincere Carter, age 21, was apprehended and taken into custody by Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, MBI, following the execution of a search warrant at his home on Valley View Drive. The execution of the search warrant, conducted with assistance from the Union Police Department and the Philadelphia Police Department, resulted in the discovery and seizure of several firearms and ammunition.

Following Carter’s arrest, Quorazus Ja’Tece Black, age 18, turned himself in to authorities at the Union Police Department.

Both the men have been cahrged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and have been taken to the Newton County Jail.

It has been confirmed by officials that these two are not the only suspects on the case. Additional arrests are anticipated.
