Armed and Dangerous Corinth Shooting Suspect Captured in Texas After Weeks on the Run
A man wanted in connection with a recent shooting in Corinth has been taken into custody in Texas, authorities confirmed.
Jacob Gaige Moss, 29, was apprehended on July 31 in Conroe, Texas, and booked into the Montgomery County Jail. Moss was wanted for his alleged involvement in the July 15 shooting of Michael Gunn in Corinth, Mississippi.
Moss is currently being held as a Fugitive from Justice and was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Jail records also indicate he is being detained under a Blue Warrant, which typically signifies a parole violation or detainer issued by a state agency.
The shooting of Michael Gunn, which occurred in Alcorn County, prompted a multi-agency search for Moss, who had been considered armed and dangerous. Details surrounding the motive or circumstances of the shooting have not been publicly disclosed.
Authorities are working on the extradition process to return Moss to Mississippi, where he will face charges related to the shooting.
More information is expected to be released as the investigation continues.
