Corinth Man Sentenced to 10 Years for Sexual Battery of a Child

CORINTH, Miss. – July 17, 2025 — Alexander Jordan Delgado, 29, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison without the possibility of parole for the sexual battery of a child, according to the Alcorn County District Attorney’s Office.

Delgado entered a guilty plea and was sentenced Thursday by Circuit Court Judge Kelly Mims to serve a decade in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections. Under state law, Delgado is not eligible for early release and must serve the full sentence.

In addition to the 10-year term, Judge Mims suspended another 20 years and ordered Delgado to serve five years of post-release supervision. Delgado will also be required to register as a sex offender for life and is permanently barred from having contact with the victim.

The case was investigated by Investigator Caleb Marolt of the Alcorn County Sheriff’s Department and prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Kyle Robbins.
