Cold Front May Bring Isolated Severe Storms to Northern Tennessee, Arkansas

A cold front is forecast to bring a low chance of severe weather Tuesday afternoon into early evening, primarily north of Interstate 40, according to the National Weather Service in Memphis.

If storms develop, the primary threat will be damaging winds, with a secondary risk of tornadoes and large hail, the agency said. The possibility of storms remains conditional and uncertain.

Surface winds could also become gusty, especially in the Missouri Bootheel and northeast Arkansas, even outside of thunderstorms. The weather service urges residents to stay weather aware and monitor updates.
