Cold front to bring lows in the 30s, freezing temperatures expected Tuesday morning

A cold front is expected to move into the region Sunday, bringing a significant drop in temperatures, according to weather officials.

Temperatures are forecast to fall into the 30s overnight Monday, with many areas experiencing lows in that range, the National Weather Service said.

By Tuesday morning, much of the region is expected to be at or below freezing, prompting authorities to issue frost advisories in some areas.

The cold snap is part of a broader weather pattern that has brought unseasonably cold air into the area, officials added.
