Cold wind chills persist in Mid-South after winter storm exits
Although the winter storm has moved out of the Mid-South, extremely cold wind chills remain in effect, according to the National Weather Service in Memphis, Tennessee.
Forecasters warn that early morning wind chills could drop well below zero across most of the region today and Tuesday. Residents are advised to take precautions against frostbite and hypothermia.
The cold snap follows the storm’s departure and has prompted ongoing advisories to ensure public safety amid the frigid conditions.
