First Circuit District Attorney Launches Operation Reload Following Successful Overload Campaign
The First Circuit District Attorney’s Office announced the launch of Operation Reload today, a follow-up to the successful Operation Overload. The earlier operation resulted in 793 citations, 51 illegal drug or firearm-related charges, and 23 other charges, according to the district attorney’s office.
During Operation Overload, authorities also referred or detained 16 illegal aliens through U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The district attorney’s office expressed appreciation for the collaborative efforts of local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies involved in the operation.
Jason D. Herring, district attorney for the First Circuit Court District, credited the agencies for their partnership in addressing crime in the community. The announcement signals the continuation of heightened enforcement efforts in the region.
