Heavy snow hits Memphis with up to 1 inch per hour, lasting through morning

Heavy snow has moved into the Memphis area, causing reduced visibility and snowfall rates of approximately 1 inch per hour, according to weather reports.

The snow is expected to continue through 7 a.m., with conditions remaining challenging for drivers and residents.

Forecasters also noted that sleet, currently moving into east-central Arkansas, will begin to mix with the snow at times by morning, potentially impacting road conditions further.
