Mississippi announces 2026 youth fishing rodeo schedule
The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks has announced the schedule for its 2026 Youth Fishing Rodeos. The events are open to anglers 15 and younger and are free to attend.
These rodeos aim to give young anglers experience in fishing and outdoor recreation. The first events of the year are scheduled for March, with multiple sessions across the state.
On March 7, the rodeo will be held at Roosevelt State Park at 10 a.m. The following weekend, events will take place March 21 at Turcotte at 8 a.m., and on March 28 at Harrison County Sportsplex and Dunn’s Falls, both at 8 a.m.
Officials encourage families to participate and can find the full schedule and additional information on the department’s website at mdwfp.com.
