Mississippi Department of Public Safety Reopens Jackson Station After System Outage
The Jackson Department of Public Safety station reopened at 10:04 a.m. on March 16 after a system outage. The department asks residents to be patient as systems are brought back online.
Residents are encouraged to schedule appointments at dps.ms.gov. The Vicksburg station remains closed at this time.
The Mississippi Department of Public Safety has more than 1,000 sworn and non-sworn employees dedicated to public safety. These employees patrol roads, combat drug activity and provide various public services across the state, according to department officials.
