Mississippi Department of Wildlife Announces Youth Fishing Rodeos in April

The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks is hosting a series of youth fishing rodeos throughout April. The events are open to anglers 15 and younger and are free to attend, offering hands-on fishing experience in various locations across the state.

Rodeos are scheduled in multiple cities, including Tupelo, Vancleave, Columbus, Hollandale, Walnut Grove, Meadville, Sardis, Philadelphia, Brookhaven, and Amory. The events begin as early as 7 a.m. and run through the morning, with times and locations detailed on the department’s website.

Participants can enjoy fishing with friends and family in Mississippi’s outdoors, with opportunities for young anglers to learn and develop their skills. The department encourages families to attend, even if they cannot participate in every event.

Additional youth fishing rodeos are planned throughout the year. More information and the full schedule can be found on the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks website.
