Mississippi man arrested in Tupelo drug trafficking raid
Officials with the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics executed a search warrant at a residence in Tupelo on March 18, 2026, resulting in the arrest of 34-year-old Christopher Clay Beckwith. The operation was part of an investigation into methamphetamine trafficking, according to the Mississippi Department of Public Safety.
Assistance was provided by the Mississippi Highway Patrol and the DPS Interdiction Unit. Beckwith faces multiple charges, including aggravated trafficking of methamphetamine, trafficking of cocaine, and possession with intent to sell or deliver hallucinogens, synthetic stimulants, and MDMA.
Law enforcement seized approximately 603 grams of methamphetamine, 31 grams of cocaine, 21 grams of MDMA, and 2 grams of ketamine from the residence. Authorities also confiscated prescription pills, an unknown brown powder, ledger books, digital scales, and $1,360 believed to be proceeds from illegal drug sales.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have not released additional details at this time.
