Mississippi man sentenced to 12 years for fondling in Booneville

BOONEVILLE, Miss. — A Booneville man was sentenced to 12 years in prison after pleading guilty to fondling charges, according to court records.

Michael Leroy Mace, 44, was sentenced January 12, 2026, by Circuit Court Judge Michael P. Mills Jr. The judge accepted Mace’s guilty plea on January 8. The sentence is a day-for-day term with no eligibility for parole or early release.

Mace was also ordered to register as a sex offender and serve three years of post-release supervision. An additional three years were suspended, according to court documents.

The Booneville Police Department conducted the investigation. The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Joel Baldwin on behalf of the state of Mississippi, with support from lead Investigator Corie Gann Robbins.
