Mississippi National Guard assists in delivering supplies amid winter storm

The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) continues to collaborate with the Mississippi National Guard to distribute essential supplies to counties impacted by a winter storm.

On Tuesday afternoon, the National Guard used two Chinook helicopters to transport water, Meals Ready to Eat (MREs), cots, and blankets to Alcorn County, according to MEMA.

The operation aims to support residents facing severe weather conditions and ensure they have access to basic necessities. MEMA officials said the effort is ongoing as recovery efforts continue across the state.
