Mississippi offers free hunter education classes statewide

The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks is offering free hunter education classes at multiple locations throughout the state this month.

There are 18 in-person classes scheduled across various sites in February, including Natchez State Park, Prentis Fire Department, MSU Extension Office in Pontotoc County, Cossar State Park, and Choctaw Wildlife Management Area.

Individuals interested in participating can find a location and register for a class online at https://education.mdwfp.com/Web/Event/Classes, according to the department.

The classes aim to promote safe and responsible hunting practices among new and experienced hunters alike.
