Mississippi State First Lady Shares Journey from Community College to White House
Mississippi State University First Lady Rhonda Keenum spoke Thursday to about 250 community college students and advisors attending the Phi Theta Kappa Regional Conference on MSU’s campus.
Keenum shared her experience as a Phi Theta Kappa member at Northeast Mississippi Community College, highlighting how her involvement there helped shape her career. She discussed her educational journey from NEMCC to MSU and her eventual role as a senior staff member in the White House during President George W. Bush’s administration.
The students, from colleges in Mississippi and Louisiana, listened as Keenum recounted her path from community college to a prominent position in Washington. Her story aimed to inspire the next generation of students to pursue their educational and career goals.
