The Mississippi Department of Public Safety will open a new Driver Service location in Columbia on Monday, Feb. 9, 2026. The office is located at 153 Partnership Way.
The new facility aims to provide services to residents in Marion County and surrounding communities. Appointments can be scheduled online at dps.ms.gov. Current average wait times at Mississippi Driver Service locations are 14 minutes or less, according to the department.
Commissioner Sean Tindell called the new office a valuable addition for local residents. “Our goal is to improve access to services across the state while keeping wait times low and customer service strong,” he said.
