Mississippi’s turkey hunting season is now open, according to the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP). The agency wishes hunters luck as they head into the woods.
Hunters are reminded to obtain a Wild Turkey Stamp or the Exempt Turkey Game Check privilege to legally check their harvests, MDWFP said. The department encourages hunters to submit photos of their successful hunts, noting they enjoy seeing everyone’s success in the field.
