NEMCC hosts ‘Exceptional Night of Baseball’ for children with barriers

Northwest Mississippi Community College (NEMCC) will host its annual ‘Exceptional Night of Baseball’ on March 16 at 5:30 p.m. at The Plex. The event aims to provide children with physical or mental barriers an opportunity to participate in baseball in a supportive environment, according to organizers.

Children from kindergarten and older are invited to attend. Each participant will be paired with an NEMCC athlete to help facilitate the experience. The event is free, and organizers encourage community members to get involved as volunteers or donors.

Interested children can sign up through a registration form available online, with a deadline of Feb. 20. Volunteers and donors are also encouraged to register via provided links, which include forms for participation and support.

Organizers expressed enthusiasm about the event, emphasizing its goal of creating an inclusive and enjoyable experience for all involved. Participants and supporters are encouraged to join this special night to celebrate and support these exceptional kids.
