Northeast Mississippi Community College Announces Fine Arts Tryouts

Northeast Mississippi Community College is holding auditions for its upcoming fine arts programs. The college encourages students to showcase their talents in various disciplines, including band, dance, and chorus.

Tryouts for the drum major and feature twirler will take place Saturday, April 11, 2026, in the Northeast Band Room. Feature twirler auditions are scheduled from 3:00 to 3:30 p.m., followed by drum major auditions from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. Students interested in joining the guard can attend make-up auditions on Saturday, April 18, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Bonner Arnold Coliseum. The Tiger Dancer auditions are also scheduled for April 11, with make-up auditions on April 18, during the same time frame at the Northeast Band Room.

Campus Country auditions are set for Saturday, April 11, at 9:00 a.m. in Hines Hall Auditorium. The Northeast Chorus will hold auditions on March 18 and April 8, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Students interested in participating are encouraged to attend these events to become part of the college’s award-winning fine arts programs.

College officials emphasize this as an excellent opportunity for students to find their place in Northeast’s arts community and develop their talents.
