Members of the Northeast Mississippi Community College community gathered Saturday morning to assist with cleanup efforts following an ice storm that impacted the area.
The college’s maintenance department, along with volunteers from the community, worked together to clear debris from the campus and carry out repairs. Some volunteers also helped with repairs at their own homes, the college said.
Northeast officials expressed gratitude for the support, calling the volunteers “the best people” and saying their efforts were vital to restoring normalcy. The college thanked everyone who showed up ready to work and help their neighbors during the storm aftermath.
