Northeast Mississippi Community College Honors Alumnus Kent Geno
Northeast Mississippi Community College has highlighted alumnus Kent Geno, president of Cook Coggin Engineers, for his ongoing support and leadership. The company, recently named Mississippi’s “Best of the Best” engineering firm, has completed multiple projects for the college.
Cook Coggin established The Cook Coggin Engineers, Inc. Endowed Scholarship, awarded to full-time pre-engineering majors with a GPA of 2.5 or higher from select counties. The firm has also mentored 13 Northeast students through the Tiger Apprenticeship program, providing industry experience while students pursue their careers and degrees.
Currently, Cook Coggin employs 30 Northeast graduates, contributing to the regional workforce and strengthening ties between the company and the college. College officials praised Geno’s leadership and investments, emphasizing his embodiment of the college’s “Forever a Tiger” spirit.
