Northeast Mississippi Community College Showcases Student Creatives

Students at Northeast Mississippi Community College are gaining hands-on experience as part of the Northeast Creatives program. These students are not only learning but also building portfolios, personal brands, and professional résumés in real time, according to college officials.

Each student photographer and videographer manages their own professional account, serving as a living résumé that showcases their content created for the college. Their work is shared through the college’s collaborative Northeast Creatives page for the campus and community to see.

The students are involved in various projects, including shooting live athletic events, producing promotional videos, filming interviews and podcasts, and creating daily social media content. College representatives say that by graduation, students have more than just experience—they have proof of their skills, preparing them for careers.

Northeast officials emphasize that this program exemplifies the college’s commitment to career readiness. The initiative helps students develop professional portfolios and gain practical experience in media production.

This effort highlights Northeast Mississippi Community College’s focus on fostering real-world skills for students preparing to enter the workforce.
