The National Weather Service in Memphis confirmed a short-lived EF-1 tornado in Alcorn County, Mississippi, last night. The tornado occurred between Kossuth and Corinth, near Highway 2.
Survey teams estimated peak winds at around 100 mph. The tornado’s duration was brief, and additional details are expected later today, according to NWS officials.
No injuries or significant damage have been reported so far. The agency continues to assess the storm’s impact in the area.
