More than 84,000 Mississippians affected by Winter Storm Fern have filed applications for disaster assistance, according to the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency.
The agency announced that the deadline to submit applications is June 10. Residents who suffered damage or loss due to the storm are encouraged to apply before the deadline.
