Severe thunderstorm risk increases in parts of Mississippi and Tennessee

Isolated thunderstorm chances are expected to increase mainly south of the Tennessee-Mississippi state line late this morning, according to weather forecasts.

By this afternoon into early evening, there is a possibility of a few strong to severe thunderstorms developing, particularly over northeastern Mississippi. The primary hazard from these storms is expected to be hail.
