Storms develop in northern Mississippi as front moves southeast
As of 3:30 p.m., only a few thunderstorms have been reported over northern Mississippi, according to local weather reports.
Meteorologists expect the stationary front to move southeastward over the next several hours, which could lead to more organized storm activity.
A localized threat of large hail is possible just south of the front, with hailstones reaching the size of ping pong balls, authorities said.
Residents are advised to monitor local weather updates and be prepared for changing conditions as the storm system evolves.
