TCEPA warns residents against collecting damaged power equipment after storm

The Trinity County Electric Power Authority (TCEPA) has advised residents not to pick up any damaged power poles or equipment from its rights-of-way. The utility said the damaged equipment is needed for future inventory documentation related to storm damage.

TCEPA officials stated crews will be on-site after power restoration is complete to collect any damaged equipment. Residents are asked to leave the items in place until then.

TCEPA thanked the public for their cooperation and emphasized the importance of preserving the damaged equipment for assessment and repair planning.
