Above-normal temperatures are expected to persist through next week in the Memphis area, according to the National Weather Service.
Rain chances will return this weekend, with the heaviest rainfall occurring Saturday night. There is a 30 to 50 percent chance of more than 2 inches of rain, mainly over areas south of Interstate 40 and parts of northeast Arkansas.
Residents are advised to stay alert for possible weather updates and prepare for the increased rainfall, particularly in the forecasted regions.
