ICE Contacted After Man Arrested on Indecent Exposure Charge, Facing Deportation
ABERDEEN, Miss. – The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 52-year-old man on charges of indecent exposure following an incident reported on August 20.
Deputies took Concepcion Lopez Barahona, of Aberdeen and originally from Tavasko, Mexico, into custody on August 21 after a father reported that his minor daughter allegedly awoke to find Barahona in her room exposing himself.
According to investigators, Barahona had been performing construction work for the family in another area of the home and was legally inside the residence at the time of the incident.
During the investigation, MCSO contacted U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and determined that Barahona is in the country illegally. An immigration detainer has been placed, and he is currently being held at the Monroe County Detention Center pending deportation proceedings.
