The IHL in Mississippi is extending spring break and issuing other guidance due to Coronavirus fears.

They announced earlier today that spring break will be extended until March 23rd. After that, classes will resume as online only.

Ole Miss, for example, has extended spring break another week and then going with online or “alternative instructional methods” beginning March 23.

“The health and safety of our students, faculty and staff are paramount,” Dr. Alfred Rankins Jr., Commissioner of Higher Education said. “Our universities are modifying the schedules for the spring semester out of an abundance of caution.”

The MSDH said to cancel all gatherings of 250 or more on Thursday, prompting the move.
