A Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued for Alcorn County by the National Weather Service in Memphis.

From the NWS:

Rain may mix with light snow today north of Interstate 40. Most areas will see no accumulation, but a light dusting of snow is possible near the Kentucky and Missouri borders.

Locally heavy rainfall is possible across northeast Mississippi this morning. Total rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible.

Very cold air and gusty north winds will result in wind chill readings in the single digits overnight across northeast Arkansas, west Tennessee, and the Missouri Bootheel. A Wind Chill Advisory may become necessary.
