Alcorn County woman arrested on felony drug charges
An alcorn county woman was arrested last Thursday on felony drug charges.

On May 31, 2019, Tishomingo County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop and during the traffic stop due to the passenger throwing an object out the window. During the traffic stop, deputies spoke with the passenger of the vehicle and other officers retrieved the item thrown, and determined the item to be a methamphetamine pipe. At this time, the passenger was placed under arrest, a deputy then found some alleged METHAMPHETAMINE on the passenger. The passenger was then transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.
JANET HARDY JOHNSON, 50-year-old, white female of 59 Front Street, Rienzi, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE). JOHNSON remains in the custody of the Tishomingo County Jail awaiting bond to be set by the Tishomingo County Justice Court.
