An arrest has been made in the fatal shooting of a woman on Christmas Eve in Hinds County.
According to a press release from Hinds County Sheriff’s Department, Timothy Wayne Tillman, age fifty three, has been arrested and charged with murder.
Deputies were dispatched to the 700 block of Doc Henry Cove around 7:40 p.m. on Tuesday to respond to a reported shooting.
Upon arrival, deputies found that a sixty five year old woman, identified as Dawn Marie Tillman, had sustained a gunshot wound to the head. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
At this time, a motive has not been found for the murder. The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
