Two-Vehicle Crash in Alcorn County Kills Booneville Man

A two vehicle crash that took place on Friday, October 11th, took the life of a man from Booneville.

According to Mississippi Highway Patrol Sgt. Bryan McGee, the victim was identified as Jerry Etheridge, age 78. The wreck took place at County Road 512 and Highway 45.

Mississippi Highway Patrol stated that Etheridge’s vehicle was traveling south on the highway, while the other vehicle attempted to cross the highway from County Road 512.

Etheridge was taken to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.

No other information was given about the driver of the other vehicle, a 52 year old Corinth man.
