U.S. Wildlife Service Will Relocate Tupelo Buzzards
The buzzards that have been congregating near the water tower in Tupelo will be relocated and dispersed on Thursday.
According to a press release from the Mayor of Tupelo’s office, the United States Department of Agriculture’s Wildlife Services will be in Tupelo on Thursday, December 5th, 2024.
The Wildlife Services will be at the intersection of N. Thomas Street and W. Jackson Street at 10:00 a.m. Thursday to handle the large number of buzzards that have been perched on and adjacent to the water tower in the area.
The Mayor’s Office notes that passersby and locals to the area may experience some commotion and loud noises occurring in the area during the dispersement and relocation Thursday.
However, the Mayor’s Office also specified that no birds will be harmed during this time.
