Former Jackson County Inventory Control Director Arrested for Fraud, Unauthorized Fuel Use

Jackson, Miss. — The Mississippi Office of the State Auditor announced the arrest of Nancy Anglada, the former Jackson County Inventory Control Director, on charges of fraud and misuse of county resources.

State Auditor Shad White said special agents took Anglada into custody after allegations she submitted false training reimbursement claims and used a Fuelman card for her personal vehicle. The Fuelman card was reportedly used on multiple occasions to fill up her own vehicle.

Authorities also accuse Anglada of falsely claiming she paid for training sessions to receive reimbursements from Jackson County. She faces potential fines of up to $5,000 and a maximum of 20 years in prison, according to the auditor’s office.

The office emphasized that all individuals arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The public can report suspected fraud through the auditor’s website or by calling 1-800-321-1275 during business hours.
