Humanities Teacher of the Year presentation rescheduled for Feb. 9

The Humanities Teacher of the Year presentation by Dr. Jason Beghtol has been rescheduled to Monday, Feb. 9, at 6 p.m. in Hines Auditorium, due to canceled classes, according to the Cultural Arts Committee.

Dr. Beghtol was named this year’s Humanities Teacher of the Year by the committee. His presentation, titled “Preserving Our Musical Moment: New Works and New Possibilities for the Bass Trombone,” will feature the world premiere of “Ambush of the Night Watch” by Derek Taylor.

The original event was set for Feb. 3 at 6 p.m. in Hines Auditorium, with a reception to follow. Attendees are encouraged to mark their calendars for the new date.
