Mississippi Auditor’s Office Passes State-Ordered Audit
The Mississippi Office of the State Auditor announced that it passed an audit conducted by an external CPA firm hired by the Mississippi Legislature’s PEER Committee.
State Auditor Shad White said the legislature allocated funds last year for an independent audit of his office. He noted that although his office did not request the audit, it was pleased with the results.
The audit was performed by EisenRamper LLP, a firm based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. White described the audit as exceptionally clean, attributing the results to the staff at his office.
White also highlighted that despite receiving $1 million less from the general fund last year, his office continues to operate effectively and efficiently.
