Mississippi man sentenced to 12 years for fondling
BOONEVILLE, Miss. — A 44-year-old man was sentenced to 12 years in prison after pleading guilty to fondling charges in Booneville, Mississippi.
Michael Leroy Mace entered his plea on Jan. 8, 2026, and was sentenced Monday by Circuit Court Judge Michael P. Mills Jr. The judge ordered the sentence to be served day-for-day, with no eligibility for parole or early release. Mace also must register as a sex offender.
The Booneville Police Department investigated the case, which was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Joel Baldwin. The District Attorney’s Office credited lead Investigator Corie Gann Robbins and the police force for their efforts in resolving the case.
In addition to the prison term, Mace will serve three years of post-release supervision. The case was prosecuted on behalf of the state by Herring, District Attorney for the First Circuit Court District.
