The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks has updated its Reel Facts for the spring fishing season. The resource provides anglers with accessible information on state fishing lakes, state park lakes, and reservoirs across the state.
Reel Facts include details on amenities, creel and size limits, special regulations, and fishing tips. The updates reflect new sampling data collected by MDWFP fisheries biologists last fall. They also offer access to the past five years of data on bass, crappie, bream, and shad.
Anglers can view specific Reel Facts for individual waterbodies on the department’s website. They need to select the waterbody of interest on the Public Fishing Lakes webpage at https://www.mdwfp.com/fishing-boating/lakes.
