The National Weather Service in Memphis, Tennessee, announced that six tornadoes touched down in the area on Sunday. Two new tornadoes, near Beech Grove and Light, were confirmed as of today, bringing the total number of tornadoes from the event to six, according to the agency.
Additionally, the paths of the tornadoes in Lafe and Kossuth have been slightly updated. The details of these updates, along with information on the other two tornadoes, are available on the weather service’s website.
The NWS continues to analyze the storm data and provide updates as more information becomes available. Officials advise residents to stay alert for future weather alerts and to review safety procedures.
