North Mississippi roads have become slick with ice, creating hazardous driving conditions, according to the Mississippi Department of Public Safety.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol, Commercial Transportation Enforcement Division, and other first responders are working to maintain safety on the roads, officials said.
Authorities advise residents to stay home, stay warm, and avoid travel unless necessary during the icy weather.
