Northeast Mississippi Community College Adult Education to stay closed through Feb. 3
Northeast Mississippi Community College will keep its adult education programs closed through Tuesday, the college announced Monday. The closure is due to ongoing power outages, limited water service, internet disruptions, and hazardous travel conditions affecting students and staff.
The college will continue to monitor the situation and plans to provide an additional update on Feb. 3. Despite the closure, the campus remains open for faculty and students who need internet access or wish to prepare for upcoming classes, officials said.
College officials emphasized that safety concerns prompted the extended closure and thanked the community for its patience. They urged everyone to stay safe as conditions improve.
